Description
Learn to knit a hot water bottle colour using circular knitting and colourwork techniques with Samira Hill.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to knit in the round using the Magic Loop technique, as well as how to knit beautiful stranded colourwork. The gorgeous Forest Snowflakes hot water bottle cover will be knitted in soft Birlinn Yarn, ready to cosy in for the cold nights!
The useful techniques covered in this workshop can be used and transferred to make any other accessory or garment in the round, with or without colourwork. This course is perfect for knitters who already know how to cast on, knit and purl. No prior experience of circular knitting or colourwork knitting is required.
Equipment
Please bring your own needles:

3mm and 3.25mm circular needles 120cm long (interchangeable can be used if you have them)

Knitting yarn and pattern included in the price.

About Samira
Samira Hill is a former professional archaeologist based in the Scottish Borders. After spending years digging and travelling around the world (always with her knitting), Samira has been teaching all aspects of knitting and crochet professionally to all ages since 2013. She loves to empower crafters with new skills, encouraging them not to be deterred by techniques that "look hard!". She is a published designer of knitting, crochet and Tunisian crochet patterns, and technical editor for independent designers and publications. Samira is the organiser of the annual Tangled Galashiels Fibre Festival in the Scottish Borders.
