A useful multi purpose cosmetic bag made in store using Harris Tweed®.
The Harris Tweed used in this bag was woven by one of the great Harris Tweed weavers, Donald John Mackay. His work is inspired by the dramatic scenery that surrounds his weaving shed on the Isle of Harris. A third generation weaver, Mackay received an MBE for his important contribution to the industry, following a contract from Nike in 2004 which resulted in a much needed upturn for the industry.
Protected by an Act of Parliament, Harris Tweed can only be made by the island weavers living on the Isle of Lewis & Harris.
Complete with a brass zip and black cotton lining.
Measurements: 26 x 18 x 9cm.
