Flora focuses on making small quantities of knitwear on a domestic hand-powered knit machine. She often combines yarns to use a high quantity of local British wool alongside a softer lambswool. As a designer, colour is a main focus; she carefully selects both proportion and combination. To minimise waste, Flora uses her end cones of yarn to knit into striped pieces. She has been working to learn new skills in creating patterns for knitwear and to use these for making her own garments.
