Description

The Mackenzie coat is made in Scotland, crafted from pure wool Harris Tweed, and sure to become a wardrobe staple.

Offering a classic cut and superior quality, this stylish coat is available in the Cairn earthy hues or the grey herringbone. Designed by the talented Elizabeth Martin (the name behind our ever popular ladies coats), and made at her tailoring studio in Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Protected by the 1993 Act of Parliament, Harris Tweed can only be made at the homes of the island weavers living on the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Using traditional methods, the tweed is woven from pure British wool which, unusually, is dyed before being spun so each thread contains a multitude of different colours, producing a cloth of great depth and complexity. You can read more about the history of this iconic Scottish cloth and interconnected roles of the weavers, the mills and the Harris Tweed Authority

Visit our Harris Tweed page to see our full collection of Harris Tweed scarves, coats and bags.

All sizes shown are chest measurements in inches.

Also available in Grey Herringbone.
