Description
Our Fair Isle vest in Machair has been designed in-house and knitted in Dundee exclusively for Scottish Textiles Showcase.
Ellen and Flora have designed their own take on a Fair Isle vest using a combination of classic motifs inspired by a trip to Shetland, where they met traditional Shetland Fair Isle knitters.
We've called this colour-way Machair after the rare coastal grassland habitat unique to the north-west coasts of Scotland and Ireland, which is carpeted with vibrant wildflowers in the summer.
Look out for the second colour-way Peat, due in store in the coming weeks!
Knitted with British wool from Bluefaced Leicester, Masham and Romney sheep, processed from fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles.
Dry clean or cool hand wash only.
