SUSTAINABLE LIVING

SUSTAINABLE LIVING

As many of you will know at the beginning of 2021 the Scottish Textiles Showcase moved out of the Tron Kirk to new retail premises on 20 St Mary's Street, just around the corner.  This is a great location for our store as St Mary's Street is just off the Royal Mile and home to a cluster of Scottish artisan neighbours. This move is an exciting development as we have more space to dedicate to showcasing our beautiful Scottish textiles and their makers.

The phrases Made in Scotland and Sustainable Living are written across our shop windows and really encapsulate our ethos and mission to support and champion Scottish artisans and wool mills. We are exceptionally proud that our products are made here in Scotland, woven on traditional looms, in world-renowned Scottish mills, some of them hand crafted and finished by hand.

We know all our suppliers in person and want you to feel as excited as we do about the gorgeous products they make. Our core values are about authenticity, traceability, carbon footprint and ultimately sustainability. Education and the promotion of the Scottish textiles industry and associated tourism matter to us too.

Our curated collection is made up of blankets and throws for the home, ladies Harris Tweed wear and a wide range of accessories.  Our products are woven in natural fibres - cashmere, wool, alpaca and linen, our ladies coats and jackets are Harris Tweed.  We champion slow fashion, and believe in investing in classic, long lasting pieces that can be enjoyed forever.

Come and visit our new Edinburgh store in person or shop with us online to learn more about our passion for sustainable products and living!
