Royal Spurtle Stirrer

The spurtle is a wooden Scottish kitchen tool used to stir porridge, soups, stews, and broths and dates back to the 15th century. Hand carved by John Isaacs from Carving Scotland, this Royal Spurtle is a replica of one gifted to King Charles III to mark the celebration of Edinburgh 900. The intricate design is inspired by an oak panel at Arbroath Abbey.
