Fernweh is inspired by founder Laura Sherriffs’ passion for adventure and exploring off the beaten path. From her studio in Aberdeen, Laura creates high quality, artisan products that are functional and made to last. Scottish Textiles Showcase has collaborated with Fernweh to create a limited edition collection of bags combining two great Scottish cloths - waxed cotton and Harris Tweed.

The waxed cotton is woven at Halley Stevenson mill in Dundee, while the Harris Tweed hand woven in the Western Isles. The bags are finished with oak tanned leatherwork from the UK’s last oak bark tannery.
