Ellen Martin is a Scottish designer specialising in printed and dyed textiles. With a focus on hand-drawing, collage and repeat pattern, her work captures details found in her surroundings, often when visiting new places.

During her studies, Ellen spent a term in Kyoto, where she learned traditional Japanese resist-dyeing methods. The experience she had in Japan has greatly informed her approach to design and continues to inspire her work today. Ellen produces a collection of pure silk and wool & silk blend scarves, digitally printed in Glasgow and finished in Edinburgh.
