Salmon Fly Kilt Pin Green Highlander

Eye-catching feather kilt pin in Green Highlander design inspired by traditional salmon fly fishing patterns.

Like many of the Victorian classic salmon fly patterns the original Green Highlander was designed during the latter part of the 19^th century by a Mr Grant of Wester Elchies. This pattern is notable as it is one of the few green coloured classic salmon flies. As the fly pattern has evolved over time the colours green & yellow have remained a key element.

Hand tied on a silver finish Salmon Fly kilt pin, this design features a combination of natural and dyed feathers and animal hair including the golden pheasant, teal, jungle cock and arctic fox.
