Eye-catching feather kilt pin in Gordon design inspired by traditional salmon fly fishing patterns.
The Gordon is a salmon fly pattern from the Victorian period with many variations available today. The original pattern is reported to have been created by a notable fisherman named Cosmo Gordon for fishing his local water the River Dee in Scotland. It was created and introduced c. 1890.
Hand tied on a gold finish Salmon Fly kilt pin, this design features a combination of natural and dyed feathers and animal hair including the golden pheasant, goose, jungle cock, black ostrich, Chinese cock and peacock.
