Walter Scott Luxury Scarf
Our Water Scott scarf is inspired by the famous 19th century Scottish novelist, who was instrumental in popularising tweed and tartan as the cornerstones of Scottish fashion. A Borders man, Scott adopted the black-and-white check or plaid (made with undyed wool), as his own estate tweed. This classic design evolved into the famous houndstooth or dogtooth check we know today, and its combination of elegance and bold contrasts makes it a perennial favourite on the world’s catwalks.
Limited edition scarf is designed by Kitty Mackenzie in Edinburgh. The water resistant Harris Tweed is hand woven on the Isle of Harris and Lewis and protects the soft black cashmere reverse. Harris Tweed is governed by an Act of Parliament and can only be made in the Western Isles of Scotland.
