Scottish Shetland Fair Isle designer scarf, based on traditional geometric Shetland designs. This beautiful reversible Fair Isle scarf is knitted by BAKKA in superfine merino wool.
Fair Isle is a name given to the patterns and designs used by knitters in the northern Shetland isles region of Scotland. After extensive research with the National Museum of Scotland and Shetland Museum and Archives, Mary from BAKKA has chosen to use old Fair Isle designs which are in danger of dying out as the source of inspiration for her modern and stylish scarves.
Bakka is a remote coastal croft situated in a truly spectacular location on the Isle of Shetland, in the far north of Scotland.
