Fair Isle mini scarf in blue and white, based on traditional geometric fair isle designs and a very intricate traditional Shetland pattern. Our limited edition BAKKA fair isle scarves are handmade with superfine merino wool to create a product that is luxuriously soft and of the highest quality.
Fair Isle is a name given to the geometric patterns and designs used by knitters in the northern Shetland isles region of Scotland. After extensive research with the National Museum of Scotland and Shetland Museum and Archives, BAKKA have chosen to use traditional geometric Fair Isle designs which are in danger of dying out as the source of inspiration for modern and stylish scarves.
Bakka is a remote coastal croft situated in a truly spectacular location on the Isle of Shetland, in the far north of Scotland.
