This beautiful cowl is designed by Mary from BAKKA who lives at Bakka, a remote coastal croft on the Isle of Shetland. Great care is taken to produce each individual cowl to the highest standard with beautifully finished seams and selvedges.
Fair Isle is a name given to the patterns and designs used by knitters in the northern Shetland isles region of Scotland. These designs are now on display in local museums and are in danger of dying out so they have been used here as the source of inspiration for a contemporary modern day scarf made with the finest merino wool.
